Needs of Our Community

Fiscal Responsibility & Transparency

Carefully making decisions about money comes second-nature to me. When budgeting for my family, my business, as a board member or for a fundraiser, I am careful about how money is spent. As Mayor, I will use the same thought and care with your money. I will ask the hard questions and encourage all citizens to also ask questions to assure that our city government is working for all of us.

Belonging & Communication

Leadership is bringing a community together and fostering belonging and cooperation. I will strive to empower the residents of White Bear Lake to have a voice in our city government, creating an environment where all residents feel comfortable sharing their concerns, needs, and dreams for our neighborhoods.

We are a city with an aging population, and we must continue to promote collaboration with community partners and volunteers to find creative solutions that serve all age groups. As Mayor, I would create a senior task force to look into the unmet needs of seniors to find workable solutions.

Safety and Health

Our community benefits greatly from having our own police and fire
department with our own ambulance service. Response times are very
good, the police and fire department staff are highly trained, and they participate in many community activities to get to know the community. It is in our best interests to maintain the high level of professionalism of the staff and the excellent response times in which these services are providing.
